Like I said a post every day…..I have to get these ramblings out of my mindscape… I will try to be concise as only I can be.
Like Salt N Pepper said back in the day, “There ain’t no half-stepping”.
If you were anything like me, you beat yourself up day in, day out. Not quite good enough, waiting for the rug to be yanked out from underneath the feet whenever the up-days swing back around……UP and DOWN……Good days, Bad days……entirely predicated upon the RETURNS of an unchecked, un-realized DESIRE…….
Our minds can be our own worst enemy, our inner dialogue most-often sabotages our own well-being……our minds can drive us into madness and worse……complacency……..comfortable-certainty.
IN ORDER to become a REAL initiate of LIFE……..you must undergo the greatest transformation your world has ever known…….YOU must trade CONDITIONAL-LOVE for UNCONDITIONAL-LOVE……..there ain’t no half-steppin!
This was a MAJOR key for me…….when I realized a thing or two about a thing or two……when I truly and actually began to LOVE myself with impeccable-confidence…..by way of Unconditional-LOVE……..the world as I knew it STOPPED and a true world of wonder took its place…….as if a 10,000lb weight was lifted off my chest and shoulders……..there is NO feeling like it…….and when you experience this for yourself, you will know what I mean, there’s no other way to translate this experience, only those that have experienced IT, first hand – know……..its my Intent to help others gain a resolve over these most-simple notions……to SPARK a fire that’s already there behind the shadows of self-doubt……behind the Matrix’s foggy veil……
You cannot LOVE yourself part-time…..or when its convenient…..or when good things are happening to you…..or when you do good things…..You cannot do this most of the time either……IT IS an ALL or nothing let’s make a deal……
It reminds me of one of my most favorite speeches of all-time, Vince Lombardi’s “Winning Speech” – now take “win” and “winning” and replace it with LOVE and LOVING…….IT IS the exact same thing……there is only ONE WAY to WIN…….and that’s to LOVE without attachment….without conditions…..without terms……..Just fucking love the fucking shit out of this place and everyone in it…….NO MATTER what….
The ONLY WAY to SEE……to resolve a REAL-ACTUAL vision……is to SEE with an open, loving HEART……otherwise, forever and day…..you’ll only warp reality to self-suit…..to appease the hunger of an unconscious desire……and that my fair weathered friends is not living……that is animating……..the difference is the same as between LIGHT and DARK……and if a man is partially dark…..partially ignorant……HE is all dark….all ignorant…..
It ALL begins and ends with LOVE……It ALL begins and ends with YOU…
Love is the Law, Love under Will.
I’ll leave you with Lombardi’s speech:
“Winning is not a sometime thing; it’s an all the time thing. You don’t win once in a while; you don’t do things right once in a while; you do them right all of the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.
Every time a football player goes to ply his trade he’s got to play from the ground up – from the soles of his feet right up to his head. Every inch of him has to play. Some guys play with their heads. That’s O.K. You’ve got to be smart to be number one in any business. But more importantly, you’ve got to play with your heart, with every fiber of your body. If you’re lucky enough to find a guy with a lot of head and a lot of heart, he’s never going to come off the field second.
Running a football team is no different than running any other kind of organization – an army, a political party or a business. The principles are the same. The object is to win – to beat the other guy. Maybe that sounds hard or cruel. I don’t think it is.
It is a reality of life that men are competitive and the most competitive games draw the most competitive men. That’s why they are there – to compete. The object is to win fairly, squarely, by the rules – but to win.
And in truth, I’ve never known a man worth his salt who in the long run, deep down in his heart, didn’t appreciate the grind, the discipline. There is something in good men that really yearns for discipline and the harsh reality of head to head combat.
I don’t say these things because I believe in the ‘brute’ nature of men or that men must be brutalized to be combative. I believe in God, and I believe in human decency. But I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour — his greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear — is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle – victorious.”
