Most folks do not understand how illegal drugs are scheduled in America. I won’t get into all the details here, but pertinent for the discussion today is the worst of the worst categories, Schedule I:

Schedule I Controlled Substances
Substances in this schedule have no currently accepted medical use in the United States, a lack of accepted safety for use under medical supervision, and a high potential for abuse.

Some examples of substances listed in Schedule I are: heroin, lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), marijuana (cannabis), peyote, methaqualone, and 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (“Ecstasy”).

****Ok, got it? — Cannabis is considered the same as Heroin, without any accepted medical use with a high potential for abuse.

Here’s an extract from a summary of an article about the impact of cannabinoids on health [4]:

Despite the mild addiction to cannabis and the possible enhancement of addiction to other substances of abuse, when combined with cannabis, the therapeutic value of cannabinoids is too high to be put aside. Numerous diseases, such as anorexia, emesis, pain, inflammation, multiple sclerosis, neurodegenerative disorders (Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, Tourette’s syndrome, Alzheimer’s disease), epilepsy, glaucoma, osteoporosis, schizophrenia, cardiovascular disorders, cancer, obesity, and metabolic syndrome-related disorders, to name just a few, are being treated or have the potential to be treated by cannabinoid agonists/antagonists/cannabinoid-related compounds. In view of the very low toxicity and the generally benign side effects of this group of compounds, neglecting or denying their clinical potential is unacceptable…

**** There are hundreds and hundreds of studies that well support the fact that cannabis has numerous health benefits. Hundreds and Hundreds of experts in the field assert that not only does cannabis have therapeutic benefit, but also preventative health benefits!

So, ask yourself – Why does the government claim otherwise? Why does my government not seek the best available advice and knowledge from those best-and-brightest in the field? Why does my government hand-cuff, detain, humiliate, and cage our brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers for a substance that is benign at worst and incredibly health beneficial at best?

Why does your government block your to natural ability to CHOOSE a substance far more safe than alcohol, tobacco, processed food-products and vegetable oils?

Why is it that YOU – do not demand more from the clowns that RUN – OUR country?

No human being EVER – should be caged, read that again….CAGED…removed from loved ones, placed into a sterile, cold, cage, humiliated and restrained – for CHOOSING to indulge in the benefit of cannabis supplementation.

1. Realize what a non sequitur is and how to avoid them at all costs. Google it.
2. Realize the exact nature of the “false equivalency” – most-to-nearly-all folks miss the boat on this one – by providing an analog of compare to a concern that is not appropriate or even in the ball park. I observe this daily.
3. NEVER, never, never, never engage in ad hominem attacks – always focus strictly on the critical elements.
4. Create a mental checklist so that you will begin to account for your mental heuristics and affects that will most certainly lead you into cognitive danger; namely familiarity, selectivity, availability and accessibility heuristics. These are the ones you should first concentrate on and then build from there. I have developed a meta listing of over 200 heuristics which I will post in the future.
5. THIS IS GOLD HERE, I cannot overstate this enough…..This is the key to enlightenment and quality of life……get ready…….We all succumb to what I call, “the narrative affect” – you know that little voice inside your head that resides with you at all times….yes that one right now….Well that voice is your inner-narrative, it basically warps all entertained matter into a perspective that makes sense to us….The narrative affect drafts the story you tell to yourself about yourself and the external world around you…..I won’t get into all the mechanics and awesome insights – but I will tell you this….The end-game of the narrative affect is to make YOU feel comfortable and certain about your experience – and anytime you do not feel comfortable and certain….rest assured the narrative affect will be working over time until you are….If you entertain an individual that posses as a threat to you in some fashion – your narrative affect will warp this individual into a concept that is much more easy to entertain…..In short, the narrative affect warps reality into your version of “reality”…..What’s most awesome….you can train yourself to control and shift your perspective into any particular reality you deem fit!!! —- yet even better, you can cease (or nearly cease) the warping altogether to SEE the world as it actually is…

It is bizarre and interesting to me that as I skim my news feed I see posts about what I can only assume is the demise of one of the two rapper kids that use to wear their pants backwards…..Imagine…

When I read those comments, I realized just how intriguing our situation is….Now get this…..I can recall with clarity the one-hit wonder, shit-ass rapper duo, Kriss-Koss…all I can recall is their shit-ass tune..JUMP…JUMP…Kriss cross will make ya Jump, Jump…Daddy mack will make you jump……those pop-media productions were completely devoid of value, meaningless – a diversion from the more meaningful….Yet, I enjoy the idea of recalling them, and some how “listening” to their hit in my head, I can almost hear and feel the beat and visualize the music video….This on the surface does not seem “disturbing” or “wrong” or any other sort of negative connotation….

Yet it, coupled with the more recent activity – 5/1/13 @ 7:00pm….makes me wonder….how is it that I recall and also observe such meaningless, trivial, mundane activities – when there is so much more out there, that will benefit my existence…

I can recall with ease such meaningless context, while my network will also recall and express their connection with the meaningless context…We do this without acknowledgement or account. This is true insight to the human condition….

We can disconnect from the meaningless any time we please….We just have to realize we are plugged in; that is the first step.

I see what’s in store for our planet and our families and it saddens me. I want so badly for all of us to just be good to each other, to pull for each other’s successes – to stand up against bullying and the inequities that seem to repeat themselves throughout history…..I want the cycle of slavery to stop….

I was a slave to my ego, to drugs, to illusion…..for some reason or another – my plug was pulled and now what I see – is something altogether different – something beautiful and terrifying all at once…..Down one road lies nightmares, waste, shackles, mandates and unrealized potentials…….Down the other road – intelligent cooperation, accord, beauty, warmth, progression, growth – evolution………

Which road we all go down – is up to each one of us – those inches and steps will accumulate to a point where we cannot turn back…..Where do you want to go?

Karl Rove did this with tort reform. It has been done in all our country’s un-critical battles: War on Drugs, Communism, Terror, Poverty, etc.

If you are a Democrat, will you blame G.W.? If you are godless, will you blame the believers? Will you call for additional legislation? Will you be able to critically weight evidence against arbitrary fluff and subject manipulation? Since yesterday morning several teams of investigators have been working to dissect the events surrounding the rape, harassment and suicide of Rehtaeh Parsons.

What we have learned is certainly appalling, but it wasn’t the act of rape that shocked us. It was the behavior of the adults in Rehtaeh’s life that we found most disturbing. Let’s set aside for a moment the compassion they should have shown as human beings and just focus on the responsibilities they had as professionals. We’re talking about the school teachers, administrators, the police and prosecutors, those who should have been role models in the late Rehtaeh’s life.

To begin, Ross Landry’s reversal of his decision not investigate this case after a media blitz is clearly an indication that his sudden interest is purely an act of public relations damage-control. You should be really ashamed of yourself. In contrast to your statements your actions are not genuine and your patronizing attention is unappreciated. Ross, you have zero class. We encourage you to get it together.

Now, it took us only a few hours to identify the boys that assaulted Rehtaeh. This wasn’t some high-tech operation that involved extracting private messages from someone’s Facebook account. Dozens of e-mails were sent to us by kids and adults alike, most of whom had personal relationships with the rapists. Many recalled confessions made by these boys blatantly in public where they detailed the rape of an inebriated 15-year-old girl. Recent statements by police and prosecutors that there simply wasn’t enough evidence to make a single arrest should be viewed solely as an admission of incompetence on their part. This wasn’t “he said, she said.” He said he did it and he said it to everyone while showing them a photo of him doing it. Every officer that signed off on this “no evidence” conclusion should be guarding the entrance to a petting zoo for the remainder of their careers. We’re afraid to ask if anyone even bothered to check the EXIF data on the rape/child pornography being openly shared by hundreds of students throughout your community.

The way the story is told, time and time again, these sad little boys had no fear whatsoever about admitting publicly their crimes and even spreading photographic evidence of it. Why were they unafraid? They believed no one was ever going to do anything to stop them and they were right. For this we point our fingers at the Cole Harbour school system. It is truly disturbing that this level of bullying could happen in one of your schools without you noticing. Worse, child porn was apparently viral in your halls and you had no clue. That was the excuse your staff repeated on the news yesterday wasn’t it, that you didn’t know. Well, it’s your job to know. If the administration of that school had any honor they would all resign for failing to meet the terms of their employment.

All of you have created a mess and instead of taking responsibility and cleaning it up, the first thing you did yesterday morning was get on television and defend your jobs. You have taught the young men in your community a terrible lesson: rape is easy.

And just to clear things up once and for all for the young men in Nova Scotia who are unlikely to hear this from any of their role models: vomiting drunk girls are not capable of giving you consent to have sex with them. That kind of sex is called rape. It isn’t really sex at all. If that’s the only way you can laid, you are pathetic and should stick to quietly sobbing while fondling yourselves in the dark until hopefully the day comes when some woman you probably don’t deserve pities you enough to teach you how to act like a real man.

At this time we can honestly say we’re confident we know the identities of the people involved in Rehtaeh’s rape. It would probably take us a lot longer to come up with a list of the people responsible for her death. We hope you all find some way to sleep at night.
