Quality

A summation….I just feel it so….I just have faith…..I believe it to be…..Sound familiar?

If I honestly had just one thing to say to a believer it would be, “Ask yourself, if you could demand only ONE particular quality from yourself and from others – what sort of quality would that be?  — I am sure you will all come to the same conclusion as I do…..Honesty – which renders down to Truth… and how do we know truth from falsehood? Evolution has blessed us with wonderful faculties; some very old (system I, reptilian partition, flight or flight, fear of loss), some rather new (system II, cognition, mindfullness) – namely  logic and reason.

How can one build logical equations? One must have critical elements; critical pieces of evidence to build with.  1 + 1 = 2 – which in and of itself is a belief.  We all believe 1 + 1 = 2, correct. Why is that?  How certain are we that the sun will rise tomorrow morning? Fairly certain? Absolutely certain? 50/50? Do you have faith that the sun will rise? Heavens no! Your mind is a risk analyzing machine – and based upon the historic evidence of the sun rising and setting throughout your experience has rendered it’s approximate odds of reiterated behavior.  As close to absolutely certain as possible.  Who needs faith when you have evidence.  EVIDENCE is how one maps out truth from falsehood – how else would anyone be able to do such a thing?  It is essential to our survival as a species and your overall quality of life.  In order to properly map out YOUR/OUR way – YOU/WE must be able to discriminate against evidence in an appropriate and effective manner – our evolution depends on it.  Believing in yourself and the natural world is not as scary as it sounds…You simply do not need entities looking over your shoulder or listening to your desires.  You do not need eternal life. You don’t need to live another life.  You simply need to live this one well…
